Newborn Home Visiting

Criterion sponsors a Healthy Families newborn home visiting program with locations in Framingham and Milford.

Healthy Families is a prevention program for first time parents under the age of 21. Young parents are provided with support, information on child development and assistance accessing community resources, until their child reaches the age of three.

Services are provided primarily in the home of participants. All those involved in the young child’s life; mother, father, grandparents, aunts and uncles may be included in program activities. In addition to home visits, families participate in group social activities such as holiday celebrations, field trips and dinners.

Healthy Families staff work closely with medical providers, school systems and other community based agencies to coordinate services for program participants. They are able to assist families to access basic necessities such as; food, shelter and medical care. Transportation to appointments and program activities is provided when none is available.
Healthy Families
The Healthy Families Program is supported through a grant from the Massachusetts Children’s Trust Fund. There are no fees to program participants.
