The Milford Family Center
The Milford Family Center offers a wide variety of services and activities to families with children between birth and six years of age who reside in the town of Milford. Playgroups, parent educational and support activities, family field trips and social activities are offered days and evenings, weekdays and weekends throughout the year. Resource and referral information is available to those who want to learn more about subjects such as; local child care programs, housing, medical providers, legal assistance and nutritional services. Family Center staff speak Portuguese and Spanish in addition to English.
The Milford Family Center is sponsored by a collaboration of local early childhood programs. The Criterion Healthy Families and Valley Early Intervention Programs join with the Milford Family Network Project and the Milford Community Partnership for Children, programs of the Milford Public Schools, to offer a community site where families with young children can come together to socialize and learn more about positive parenting.
The Milford Family Center is funded, in part, by the Massachusetts Children’s Trust Fund. Many activities are offered at no charge. Some require a small fee to cover program expenses.
