Agency Profile
Criterion Child Enrichment, known formerly as Center for the Development of Human Services (CDHS), a private, non-profit agency that was founded in 1985 by its President, Robert F. Littleton, Jr. The agency is dedicated to the provision of high quality early childhood education and support to families with young children. In the 20 plus years, since its establishment, the agency has grown from two programs in Milford and Framingham to 13 programs strategically located throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Each year, approximately 5,000 families are served by a highly qualified, dedicated staff of over 200 professionals.
Each Criterion program is lead by a local Program Director with extensive experience working with young children and their families. Program Directors are responsible for program development, community involvement, staff supervision and daily program operations. A strong central administration comprised of a Director of Early Childhood Services, Assistant Director of Program Operations and Professional Development Coordinator, works under the direction of the President and Board of Directors. Program and policy development, financial management, clinical guidance and professional development activities are provided to Criterion programs by its central administration. Additionally, Criterion management personnel provide consultation and training support for other early childhood providers and participate in numerous state wide advisory activities.
